Returns & refund policy
Groceries are perishable, so our rule is simple: check the bag at the door. Anything wrong goes straight back with the rider, and the money comes back to where it came from.
1. What we take back
- Damaged, leaking, spoiled or expired items.
- Wrong item, wrong quantity, or an item missing from the bag.
- Sealed packaged goods that are unopened and in resaleable condition.
- Produce that is visibly not of the quality shown at the shop.
2. What we cannot take back
For hygiene and safety reasons we cannot accept returns of opened or part-used food, cut meat and fish once accepted at the door, prescription medicines, or personal care items with a broken seal.
Items reported more than 24 hours after delivery, or where the delivered quantity was accepted and consumed, are assessed case by case.
3. Cancellations
Cancel free of charge until the shop starts packing. After packing begins, perishable items already weighed or cut may be charged. If a shop or rider cancels, you are refunded in full — including the delivery fee.
4. How refunds are paid
Refunds go back to the original payment method: UPI usually the same day, cards in 5–7 working days depending on your bank. For cash-on-delivery orders you can choose a UPI transfer or GYEADS credit, which is applied instantly. Partial refunds are issued line by line, so you only lose the item that was wrong.
5. Who bears the cost
Refunds are settled between GYEADS and the selling shop under the partner agreement — never by asking the delivery partner to pay. You are never charged a return pickup fee for an item that was wrong.
6. Repeated claims
We trust customers by default. Where claims are unusually frequent we may ask for photographs before refunding, or review the account — a safeguard for the small shops carrying the cost, not a penalty on genuine complaints.
7. Still not resolved?
Write to support@gyeads.com with your order number. Unresolved complaints can be escalated to our grievance officer, who responds within 15 days as required by consumer protection rules.
